A Melody From East Berlin
A downloadable game for Windows
Set in a close replica of East Berlin close to the wall, with a moody art style and atmospheric soundtrack, you play as Anja. After having her guitar smashed by the Soviet police, she bids to escape.
There are multiple branches and ways to breach the wall itself using items and helps from friends, all without raising suspicion from the Stasi, or "Secret Police."

This game was made in around 9 days for Historical Game Jam III - the theme being The Cold War. We started out with a large scope until having to sculpt the options down. Our first goal was to capture the oppressive mood in East Berlin, using lighting and SFX.

I think it is quite an interesting game with a neat plot. I only got one of the ways to get out but it was quite cool. However i felt that if time was spent more on the story it would have been much better. Other than that I liked it. Great Job!

good storyLike the idea and art style of the game but i think it's relatively short , and needs to be a little harder.
